The Journey
One evening, protected by the rest
The Celebration is not a week of parties. It is a week built around one evening — a milestone birthday, a significant anniversary, a vow renewal, a proposal, a retirement, a reunion with a reason to be one — and everything around it exists to protect that evening, not compete with it. Bangkok opens and closes the journey with a single riverside night on either end. In between, the group crosses to Koh Phangan's quiet north-east coast to properly gather, then on to Phuket, where a villa or resort is taken in full and the occasion itself is staged.
The craft here is restraint and logistics rather than spectacle: a long table on the sand rather than a stage, a cake worked into the menu instead of wheeled out under a spotlight, a photographer briefed to work without anyone posing for it. Dietary needs and mobility across an older or mixed-age group are planned from the outset, not patched together on the day. When one guest is not meant to know what the week is really for, SALA runs two schedules from the morning of — a decoy itinerary for them, the real one for everyone else, and a staff briefed to say nothing beyond the weather.
On timing: an occasion sets its own date, so this journey runs year-round and we plan around whatever month yours falls in. February to April is the driest stretch on both coasts and the safest bet for an outdoor table. From May to October the Andaman leg sees afternoon rain that usually passes within the hour, and we hold a covered alternative for the set-piece from the moment the date is set rather than deciding on the day. October to December is the Gulf's wettest spell, so for those dates we shorten the Koh Phangan nights and give them to Phuket.
"One table, one evening, and a week built so nobody arrived tired for it."

Day by Day
Your Private Itinerary
This is a framework built around one occasion — your SALA curator tailors every detail, including the surprise, to your group.
Bangkok
A single riverside night to land, gather the group, and set the tone before the week turns toward the Gulf
Day 1
Arrival & the Opening Dinner
Bangkok
Guests land through the day from different countries and at different hours, so the first night is deliberately low-key — nobody is asked to perform while still jet-lagged. Private riverside dining brings the group together for the first time; a converted rice barge on the Chao Phraya is one option your curator can arrange. Stay: Mandarin Oriental Bangkok or Capella Bangkok.
- Individual private transfers timed to each arriving flight
- Private riverside dinner — no set programme, just the group meeting properly for the first time
- A short welcome from your SALA curator before the week turns toward the coast

Mandarin Oriental Bangkok or Capella Bangkok
Koh Phangan
The group assembles properly on the island's quiet north-east coast, away from the crowds gathered on the other side
Days 2 – 3
Koh Phangan — The Gathering
Koh Phangan
There is no airport on Koh Phangan: the group flies from Bangkok to Koh Samui, then crosses by private speedboat to Thong Nai Pan on the island's north-east coast. The famous full-moon crowds gather at Haad Rin, on the opposite side of the island — a different world entirely, and not one this itinerary goes near. Once settled, a long dinner is laid on the sand for the group to properly assemble. A longtail runs out to Bottle Beach, reachable only by water, with no road to it at all. Stay: Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan.
- Private speedboat transfer from Koh Samui to Thong Nai Pan
- A long dinner on the sand — the group's first evening properly together
- A longtail out to Bottle Beach, which has no road to it
- Days left open, on purpose, before the group moves on to Phuket
Your Residence

Phuket
A villa taken whole and one evening built entirely around the occasion, with Phang Nga Bay waiting for whoever surfaces the morning after
Days 4 – 6
Phuket — The Set-Piece
Phuket
The occasion itself. A villa or resort is taken in full, so the group is never among strangers for it. The set-piece evening is built around a table on the sand — a chef brought in for the night, florists and cake handled weeks in advance, a photographer already briefed on how to cover it. If fireworks are wanted, they require a permit arranged in advance with the local authorities; they are not something that can simply be laid on the day. The morning after, a boat runs into Phang Nga Bay at first light for whoever surfaces. Stay: Trisara, Amanpuri, or a private villa buy-out.
- Villa or resort taken whole — the group under one roof for the occasion
- The set-piece evening: a table on the sand, a chef, florists and cake arranged in advance
- In-house photographer covering the evening discreetly
- A dawn boat into Phang Nga Bay the following morning, for those who want it

Bangkok
The last two nights back in the city, closing with dinner at one of Bangkok's Michelin-starred Thai kitchens before departures spread across the final day
Days 7 – 8
Bangkok & the Closing Dinner
Bangkok
The group returns to the city for the last two nights, closing with dinner at one of Bangkok's Michelin-starred Thai kitchens — Sorn, Le Du, Nusara, and Potong are among the tables your curator can propose. This is the evening for the toast that didn't happen on the beach and the photographs passed around before anyone has to say goodbye. Departures on the final day are staggered to each flight, as they were on arrival.
- Closing dinner at a Michelin-starred Thai restaurant in Bangkok
- Photographs from the week shared informally among the group
- Individual private transfers to the airport, timed to each departing flight
What's Included
Curated Experiences
-
Villa or Floor Buy-Out
In Phuket, for the occasion itself — a private villa or, for a smaller party, a resort floor taken in full. No shared corridors, no other guests wondering what the toast was for.
-
The Set-Piece Evening
One evening in Phuket, built around the occasion and nothing else — a beach table, a set menu, a photographer briefed to work without a lens in anyone's face.
-
Cake & Florist, Handled Properly
A cake worked into the menu rather than wheeled out, and a florist briefed on the occasion rather than sent to fill vases. Nothing that reads as a hotel package.
-
In-House Photographer
The set-piece evening in Phuket documented discreetly — coverage of the table and the people who flew in for it, without anyone posing for it.
-
The Quiet Days
Two nights gathering on Koh Phangan before the main event and a slower morning after it in Phuket, so the group arrives rested and leaves with the evening intact in memory.
-
Separate Briefings for a Surprise
When one guest is not to know, SALA runs two schedules from the morning of — a decoy itinerary for them, a working one for everyone else, and staff briefed to say nothing.
