What to Expect
A stream running through Koh Phangan's east-coast jungle, notable for large granite boulders carved with the royal monograms of several Thai kings — Rama V, VII, and IX among them — who visited and swam here personally, a genuine royal heritage site rather than a manufactured one. The walk in follows the stream past natural pools suitable for swimming.
How to Prepare
Sturdy shoes with grip are essential — the trail involves scrambling over wet granite, not a flat path. As with any site bearing royal insignia, treat the carved stones with visible respect; climbing directly on the royal monograms themselves is inappropriate.
