Dry season on the Gulf coast (December to August) for calm seas on the boat approach; this beach has no road access at all, so conditions on the water matter more than they would for a beach reachable by land.
What to Expect
One of Koh Phangan's most secluded beaches, accessible only by longtail boat from Chaloklum or by a genuinely difficult jungle trek — a deliberately undeveloped stretch of sand with a handful of simple bungalow operations rather than resort infrastructure. The isolation is the actual draw, not a side effect.
How to Prepare
Confirm your return boat time before you land — there's no casual way to change plans once you're there, and services are minimal. Bring cash, water, and anything specific you need; there's little to buy beyond basic food at a couple of small bungalow restaurants.
