Best Time to Do This
Rainy season through early cool season (July to December) for full water flow; this is one of central Thailand's less-visited parks, so crowds are rarely a factor in any season.
What to Expect
A wide, tiered waterfall inside Thung Salaeng Luang National Park — one of the larger and less-touristed national parks in central Thailand, known more for grasslands and pine forest than the jungle scenery further south. The falls themselves are broad rather than tall, spreading across a wide rock shelf.
How to Prepare
This park sees a fraction of the visitors of Erawan or Khao Yai, so come with your own water and snacks — facilities are minimal. Sturdy shoes for wet rock and a park entrance fee paid in cash at the gate are the only real requirements.
