What to Expect
A longtail boat journey along the Kok River past riverside villages, jungle-backed banks, and the occasional water buffalo at the water's edge — a slower, quieter way to see rural Chiang Rai province than any road trip covers.
How to Prepare
Life jackets are standard on longtail boats; wear them even if offered as optional. Bring a light rain layer in the wet season and sun protection year-round — there's no shade on the open river.
